YouTube is a video sharing website launched in 2005 that allows you to upload videos and share them with the whole world. Once you have a bunch of quality videos and some subscribers; you could file your application for monetization enabling. Lets say you don't feel like doing STEP 2, or for some other reason want an alternative to it. So, its not a hard-and-fast rule. After that; market your channel through social media, create a page; make a post about an interesting video and boost that post, or if you are lucky enough to have a great number of friends that are supportive; you'll save that advertising cost. Market your videos (interesting ones) through all possible and feasible means. This will drive some real traffic to your channel; and if the visitor loves what you've created, you'll have a great number of subscribers in no time.
STEP 5 : Technical Signals
It takes some time after which your channel gets know to internet bots and search engines. You can hasten up the process by sending pings. Search for youtube pingers on google and you'll get a handful of free pinger services.
STEP 6 : Final Step
After this all hard-work, you deserve to reap the sweet fruit; once your channel has got a good number of views, apply for Adsense monetization. You'll get your account approved and shall be able to show ads and generate revenue.
Remember : Don't give up after a week or a month, you'll only get reward if you keep posting good content on your channel, set up a frequency and keep consistent.
